My Educational Journey.

My name is Lauren Seamans and I believe in the power of education.

I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Secondary English Education and a minor in Creative Writing in 2015. After graduating, I immediately started teaching 8th and 9th grade English in Gillette, Wyoming. During the summer of 2018, I completed my master’s program in Educational Technology through the MAET overseas cohort from Michigan State University. This program consisted of three incredible summers in Galway, Ireland, where we focussed on the positive implementation of technology into the classroom.

This blog was originally created as a portfolio for my MAET experience, but the longer I stay in education, the more I realize the value of portfolios for my students… and myself.

This blog will follow my educational journey as a teacher, a human, and a lifelong student.
